Summer Bonfires for Teens
We will not be having a bonfire on Thursday, July 27 since the youth group will be making dinner and serving it at Family Promise.
Bonfires will resume next Thursday at 8:00 pm.
This weekend, teens and adults are attending the Steubenville Youth Retreat Conference. Please keep us all in your prayers that the Holy Spirit may bless us with renewed enthusiasm and joy for our Church and that we may share it with our community.
Helping out the Homeless
Teens are needed to help prepare food and provide hospitality to those staying with Family Promise this week. On Thursday, July 27, we need two teams of 3 - 5 teens to help prepare and deliver the meal from 4:00 to 6:30 pm, and another team to play with the kids and interact with the families from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. This is a great way to give back to the community and make a difference in someone’s life.
For the first time ever, we have an undefeated record of 4 - 0 and will be headed to the playoffs at the end of the month once our makeup games are played. Our coach over the past years, Ryan Duane, is off to medical school and will not be able to finish the season with us. Good luck Ryan and God’s blessing along the way. Thanks for all you have done. (picture below is only half of the team).
Thank You for Helping with the Winter Shelter
Due to the generosity of our parishioners, we were able to help the women’s and men’s winter shelter with three meals this winter. The teens and adults prepared and served over 450 meals to those in need and had a wonderful experience working together and serving those less fortunate.
Share Your Gifts with the Teens and their Families
As we look forward to the upcoming year there are a lot of wonderful things that will be happening. Youth Ministry needs people who have a passion for Christ. We need people to pray, to facilitate classes (not teaching), to lead faith sharing, and to help with outreach. You’re level of commitment can be weekly, monthly, or just whenever you have time. The teens are the future of our Church, help give them a solid foundation! Call Janet to get involved.
Make Mass Matter – Get Involved!
Teens, we would love to have your youth and enthusiasm more present at Masses! There are many ways to help, such as lecturing, greeting, altar serving and ushering. Also, if you are 18 you can be a Eucharistic Minister. To volunteer call Janet at 724 941 9587 ext. 112 for more information.
Stay up to date with Youth Ministry on The City
When you want the news and info on youth ministry, make sure you are on The City and are in the group. All teens and parents are encouraged to be a part of it!
