Women of St. Benedict
The Women of St. Benedict, asking guidance by the Holy Spirit, are committed to continuing the works of Jesus Christ by working together in friendship to spread His Word to members of our group, our parish and our community. We strive to give good example, help the poor and needy, and to always remember others in our prayers to the Lord.

All women of St. Benedict Parish are welcome to the first WOSB meeting of the 2017 - 2018 season on Thursday, September 28 at 1:00 pm in O’Brien Hall. Our first meeting is a pot luck luncheon. Please make and bring one of your favorite easy recipes - you don't have to feed an army. Fr. Will Wuenschel will be returning as our speaker to give us Part II of his story of his life to the priesthood. Our special guests will be 16 ladies from St. Francis Christian Mothers. Come join us and see what we are all about ... socializing with other women. We laugh, we cry, we learn, we share and we work together for the needs of others. There will be a demonstration on how to make dresses for Haitian girls before the regular meeting. If you are interested, please be at O'Brien Hall at 12:00 noon. Hope to see you!
Shoe Box Santa Project
Good news for Shoe Box Santa enthusiasts! The Shoe Box Santa project has been rescheduled. St. Francis of Assisi Church has offered us the use of Finley Hall which is directly across the parking lot from their church at 3609 Washington Avenue in Finleyville as the packing site. Members of St. Francis parish will also help with the project. We will meet on Tuesdays: October 3, 10, 17 and 24 at 9:30 am. We will also accept donations at St. Francis of Assisi on those dates. We need empty shoe boxes, soap, shampoo, toiletries, razors, toothpaste, writing utensils and any books, toys, tools, jewelry and trinkets which are small enough to fit into a shoe box. Come prepared to help with this worthwhile project! Contact Jackie Buck at 724.941.6955 with any questions.
